Sasuke Uchiha (うち は サスケ Uchiha Sasuke?) Is a fictional character from the comic and anime series Naruto. Sasuke's first name, supposedly derived from the name of a legendary ninja, Sarutobi Sasuke. While his surname, "Uchiha" is read as "Uchiwa", or "paper fan" (fan made of paper). In the days of Ancient Japan, Uchiwa often worn in royal ceremonies, as souvenirs, or are used to protect soldiers from attack arrows.
